S&S Electrical Inspections
Read these instructions before starting your permit application.

- Permits are only valid for 1 year unless there are extenuating circumstances. Large Commercial jobs are excluded from this rule.
- ELECTRICAL INSPECTION AND APPLICATION FOR INSPECTION
- For Home owner permits, please answer questions about electricians with H/O or call 270-407-3136. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE PREMISES IS UNLOCKED.
- Home owners doing their own wiring must be present to sign an affidavit.
- (NEW) Home owners getting Residential permits are only permitted if it is their Primary Residence.
- Home owners, please make sure to leave your cell number in the correct field. This is how we will be getting in touch with you!
- For small commercial jobs under $20,000, select that option during the permit application process.
- For commercial jobs over $20,000, call 270-407-3136.
- For final inspection, you must have a septic release if plumbing is in the building.
- For final inspection, HVAC needs to be installed.
- For NEW mobile home, you must have a C1 sticker and a septic release.
- For USED mobile home, you must have a C1 sticker, B1 sticker, and a septic release.
- Working hours are between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
- Call in permits taken during working hours will be scheduled for the earliest opportunity when in the county. Please give 24 hour notice to be placed on the inspection schedule.
- Tuesday and Thursday, inspections will be for Allen, Monroe, and the City of Tompkinsville.
- Wednesday, inspections will be for Cumberland and Metcalfe.
- Once your application is completed, inspections will be scheduled based on the answer to the "Ready for Inspection" question on the form.
- If "Yes" is selected, the inspection will be scheduled for the next scheduled day for that county.
- If "No" is selected, the inspection will not be scheduled until further communication is received from the electrician or homeowner. This communication should be by call or text at the number 270-407-3136.
- For payment, we will accept payment by check, or you will be provided with the option to pay online. Please note, all online payments will result in an additional 4% handling fee for the online processing.
